PURPLE ON STATUES: The statues are now shrouded in purple Passiontide veils. This is a sign of mourning for Christ’s sufferings, and also that we may concentrate on the central mystery of Christ’s death for us. The Crucifix will be solemnly unveiled and held up for our veneration on Good Friday; and in their turn the statues will shine out after being unveiled for the Easter Vigil. The true Royal Purple that we use reminds us that Christ, though veiled on the Cross is still our King.

If you are not able to get to Mass or if you are going into hospital, let Fr. Kazimierz know. If you notice someone you know from the church who has not been at Mass recently, please let us know.

IF YOU WISH A MASS TO BE SAID for either a relative or a friend, living or deceased, please see one of the priests.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS: will be recited throughout Lent at 5.30pm on Friday.
